Forever Young

Forever Young is an adult ministry meeting the spiritual needs of men and women 55 years old and up. We have wonderful fellowship, great entertainment, and teaching from God’s Word.

We would love for you to ocme and be a part of this thriving ministry!

Forever Young members have a lot to look forward to each week at Canton Baptist Temple. Every Thursday, we have live music, devotional time and a great lunch for free. We have various groups come in like the WOW truck from Aultman to do vital checks, we have the ice cream truck stopping by and various other organizations that provide services for our Forever Young age group. Also we invite Gospel music groups such as: The Nobles, The Pine Ridge Boys, Jimmy Howson and many others to give our guests delightful concerts on a weekly basis.

We have enjoyed trips to Amish Country, to Oglebay Park and Marietta to ride the paddle-wheel boat! We would love to have you join us every Thursday for fellowship, encouragement and spiritual well-being.

What does Forever Young mean to me? I'm not much for expressing myself, but here are a couple thoughts: It is a time that I am able to serve the Lord. A big part of the time it is my mid-week service or Bible study, I feel as though it is an outreach for the church. I enjoy the fellowship.

What Forever Young means to me: I enjoy the Christian fellowship. I like helping out in the kitchen when I am needed. I also help pass out song books and get to meet new people. There is always time to talk to old friends an new. Every week we hear the Word of God. I also enjoy the entertainment, whether local or outside. I enjoy driving and picking up my friends. I have fun and that's what keeps me young, if not on the outside then definitely on the inside.

Over the years so many of these people have had an impact on my life, my husband, and our children. Whether I am singing to them, cooking for them, or just talking and laughing with them, my mind thinks of so many as dear, kind friends. They've been my youth leaders, Sunday School teachers to our children, long-time family friends, encouragers, "jokesters," second moms and grandmas, and faithful prayer warriors. I love Forever Young and the joy it brings serving people who have been dear to me for so many years.

Forever Young has been such a ministry and learning experience for me. My main priority first is to honor and glorify the Lord. Second is to do my best to please the people in the dining room with a tasty meal. The Lord has taught me many things with this ministry. Patience was a big one. Trust is another. I do plan the meal, but I need all the help for different things to be done. I have been blessed so many times and am so thankful to have a building and everything we need in it to prepare a good meal. God is good all the time!
